Het zou voor ons een herkansing betekenen, want eigenlijk zouden we vorig jaar al gaan maar helaas waren die uiltjes doodgegaan, dus die sessie ging toen niet door. Uiteraard hoefde ik niet lang na te denken, en vorige week donderdagochtend was het eindelijk zover.<\/p>\n<p>Omdat uilen nachtdieren zijn, is de kans om ze te fotograferen het grootste vlak na zonsopgang of vlak voor zonsondergang. Wij hadden afgesproken om &#8217;s morgens te gaan, dus om ongeveer 04:15 reden we Alblasserdam uit waarna we rond 05:30 in Kalmthout aankwamen, waar we bij Glenn afgesproken hadden.<\/p>\n<p>Na kort kennisgemaakt te hebben met 2 andere fotografen (belgen) die ook in de schuilhut afgesproken hadden, gingen we op weg naar de hut. De hut was eigenlijk gewoon een soort boerenkeet aan de rand van een boerenveld. Geweldig om zo&#8217;n mooi vogeltje van zo dichtbij te kunnen observeren; en ze zijn eigenlijk nog groter dan ik dacht.<\/p>\n<p>Al met al was het een geweldige ochtend. Al met al had ik toch ruim 40gb aan fotomateriaal gemaakt, bij elkaar toch een ruim 1300 foto&#8217;s.
